Frequently Asked Questions to Service

I just bought a new RV. What are my obligations under RV Warranty?

As the new owner of an RV, there are things you need to do to make sure you don’t accidentally lose some of the protection afforded by the warranty. First and foremost, don’t let the warranty term run out before having any needed warranty work done. This can easily happen if you put the unit away for the winter without getting the work done. There are some very important maintenance items that you are responsible for. Inspect your roof seals and other seam seals every six months. Neglecting this item can be horribly costly, and warranty will not cover any water damage that results. Most 2-year refrigerator warranties now require an annual professional inspection and servicing in order for the warranty to stay in force. Lubricating moving parts on your RV just makes sense, but if you don’t do it, warranty will not cover any resulting malfunction. There are others. The best advice is to read the warranty for the RV and the separate warranty for each appliance before you use it rather than after it breaks.

Do I need an appointment to get service work done?

Yes. Call our Service Department to make an appointment. If you purchased your RV from CampLand, be sure to mention your Priority Service Card number. We are very busy during summer rush season.

What kind of payment do you accept for service work

We accept cash and Visa, Master Charge and Discover Cards. We do not accept out-of-state personal checks. We do accept local personal checks under $300.

It is summer and I am a stranded traveler with a service problem. Can you help me?

Yes, we will try our best to get you back on the road if the problem keeps you from continuing your trip.

I am permanently parked. Can you come to my campground to do service?

Yes, we can come to certain nearby campgrounds if necessary. Call to see if we can service your campground. There will be a trip charge and payment will be required before the work is done. We will schedule warranty work on permanently parked units we sold as quickly as possible, keeping in mind that we are very busy in the summer.

Do you do collision repairs and body work?

Yes, we have trained body technicians with years of experience. We can repair both aluminum and fiberglass RVs – everything from minor repairs to complete re-skinning, sidewall replacement and roof replacement. If the RV is still useable, it is best to delay body work till the off-season.

Can you repair RV's of brands other than the ones you sell?

Yes, we repair most brands, except for warranty work, which must be done by an authorized dealer for that brand.

Do you provide storage for RV's

No, we cannot store RV's due to zoning regulations

I have heard of your winter service plan, what is it?

Basically it is a plan that allows you to leave your RV with us to have service work performed in the off-season, when you are not using it. We do the work as we have time, at discounted labor rates.

When I bought my RV at Camp-Land, I was given a "Priority Service Card". Will I need it to schedule a service appointment?

In the busy, busy summer season, you will need your "Priority Service Card" to get a timely service appointment, ahead of those who do not have one. If you have misplaced it, don't worry. We have you listed in our records and can verify your status as a priority service customer.
